CDA Recognizes National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
The College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA) is committed to reconciliation and ensuring that the tragic history and ongoing legacy of residential schools is never forgotten. The Government of Canada recently passed legislation to make September 30th a federal statutory holiday called the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day provides an opportunity for individuals to recognize and commemorate the legacy of residential schools. This may present itself as a day of quiet reflection, education, or participation in a community event.
The College will recognize September 30 as a day for Truth and Reconciliation. The College has posted resources and videos below, which can also be found on our website under For Dietitians – Regulated Member Resources, under the Reconciliation and Indigenous Resources section. We encourage regulated members to refer to these resources in your own reflection and learning.
