CDA Important Survey on Standards of Practice
The College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA) is updating their Standards of Practice to include a Reconciliation Standard of Practice and a Restricted Activity Supervision Standard of Practice. We are now seeking input from Registered Members on the draft Standards through an online survey.
- Reconciliation is a priority of the College Council and as part of the College’s Reconciliation Journey, an Indigenous RD Working Group of the College has developed a Standard of Practice on Reconciliation.
- Under Bill 46: Health Statutes Amendment Act, the College is required to develop a Standard of Practice for Restricted Activity Supervision that must be approved by the Minister of Health.
The College sent a survey invitation to all regulated members on September 15, 2023. The email titled “CDA Important Survey on Standards of Practice” came from Shannon Eklund (ppc@collegeofdietitians.ab.ca). The College asks that regulated members complete the survey by midnight on October 15, 2023. A direct link to the survey was included in the email invitation. If you did not receive the email invitation, please check all folders in your email (including Spam/Junk) before contacting Shannon Eklund directly at ppc@collegeofdietitians.ab.ca.
A downloadable copy of the draft Standards of Practice is available for your reference (link included in survey email). This includes a glossary of terms and may be a useful resource as you complete the survey.
