CDA Leadership Transition Announcement

To Regulated Members and Valued Stakeholders,

We are writing to inform you of an important leadership transition at the College of Dietitians of Alberta (the College). Effective September 8, 2025, Kyle Duplessis will assume the role of Executive Director & Registrar, succeeding Doug Cook.

Doug Cook has been an integral part of the College, and Council is deeply grateful for his 17 years of service and commitment to the regulation of the dietetics profession. Doug’s last day in the College office will be September 29, 2025, but he will remain on contract until November 30, 2025, to assist the College with transition.

We are excited to welcome Kyle Duplessis into this role. With his extensive experience in government and regulation of health professions, we are confident that he will continue to lead the College into a promising future.

This transition reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation, and long-term growth. The College remains dedicated to maintaining strong relationships with our regulated members and stakeholders and ensuring continuity in our operations and strategic direction.
